SPRING/SUMMER TRENDS IN 2021
Welcome Spring!
As we are going into Spring and Summer, the northern hemisphere is going into Autumn/Winter. The trends that follow could still be trending into next year. Pick the ones you like and have fun!
Colour trends: Grey, Yellow, Neutrals, Pink and Pastels.
Prints: Florals. Be careful which floral prints you choose as it can look “mumsy” if that concerns you. Stripes, which can be lengthening (Vertical), or broadening (Horizontal) and flattering diagonal.
Gingham in all colours are making a comeback.
Polka dots.
Ruffles and bows; Balloon sleeves are still around.
Beautiful lightweight, translucent material / Chiffon dresses and tops. Dresses in general is a big trend.
Jumpsuits are still going strong.
Belts, if you want to accentuate your waist.
Knitted dresses and skirts. Lots of Crochet garments!
Anything leather or faux leather. Even leather puffer-jackets.
Black and White combinations in colour blocking as well as prints.
Oversized blazers. Tricky to look good in them.
Jackets with futuristic-style shoulders. For the fashionistas.
Relaxed Denim and wide legged pants.
Luxurious loungewear, but there are some tendencies to move to more (relaxed) tailored clothing as people slowly return to more formal work settings.
Hoodies. Were they ever out?
There you have it, maybe there is trend or two that speak to you. Personally, I love dresses and hope to add a beautiful one to my wardrobe for the summer.
